| As a Tech Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving technical direction, mentoring engineers, and designing high-performance distributed systems that power SnappTrip’s travel products You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, other Engineering Leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across all services :Responsibilities Lead and mentor a squad of backend engineers — fostering growth, code quality, and delivery excellence Design and evolve microservice-based architectures with focus on scalability, fault-tolerance, and maintainabilit Guide the technical design and implementation of new features across our booking, pricing, and inventory systems Oversee production performance, monitoring, and capacity planning across high-traffic services Review code and design proposals, ensuring alignment with SnappTrip’s engineering standards Partner with other leads and architects to evolve our event-driven architecture and data-driven decision systems Be an advocate for engineering best practices and continuous improvement :Requirements 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role Strong experience in designing and operating large-scale, high-availability systems :Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and containerized deployments (Helm, CI/CD pipelines) PostgreSQL and MongoDB (indexing, query optimization, replication) Redis or similar caching systems for performance optimization Solid understanding of microservices, API design, asynchronous processing, and caching patterns Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK) Strong communication and team leadership skills with a collaborative mindset :Bonus Points Production experience with Go (Golang) Experience with Kafka or other streaming/event systems Background in travel, e-commerce, or other high-traffic domains Experience leading architecture modernization or platform scalability projects |
