Description

job title

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Specialist to support business operations through forecasting, capacity planning, budgeting, scheduling, and performance analysis. The role is responsible for developing data-driven plans that optimize resources, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel/data skills, and experience collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop short-term and long-term operational and financial plans
Prepare forecasts for demand, workforce, inventory, and capacity
Monitor KPIs and analyze operational performance trends
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
Coordinate planning activities across departments
Identify capacity constraints, operational risks, and efficiency opportunities
Build and maintain dashboards, planning models, and reports
Track actual performance versus forecast and explain variances
Support S&OP and resource allocation processes
Improve planning methodologies and automation processes
Conduct scenario analysis and provide recommendations to management
Ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency
Collaborate with stakeholders to align planning assumptions and priorities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
Industrial Engineering
Business Administration
Supply Chain
Finance
Operations Management
or related field
2–5+ years of experience in planning, operations, supply chain, or FP&A
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with:
Power BI
SQL
Python
Forecasting models
Capacity planning
Data visualization
Knowledge of KPI frameworks and operational analytics
Experience in e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, or retail operations
Familiarity with budgeting and cost optimization processes
