Description

job title

The Tax & SSO Senior Specialist is responsible for managing Alibaba Travels’ tax and Social Security Organization obligations accurately and on time. The role prepares statutory submissions, maintains audit-ready documentation, manages tax and SSO audits and claims, and advises internal teams on the tax and social-security implications of business transactions and contracts.
The position works closely with Accounting, Payroll, HR, Legal, Procurement, Commercial, and Operations to
minimize compliance risks, penalties, and unresolved statutory exposures.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax, withholding tax, and other statutory reports accurately and on time.
Reconcile tax returns and SSO submissions with the general ledger, sales records, payroll, and supporting documents.
Manage tax and SSO audits and provide complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation.
Review assessment notices and prepare objections, appeals, calculations, and supporting evidence.
Follow up on open cases and communicate with tax and SSO authorities.
Review contracts for tax, withholding, VAT, and social-security implications.
Track contractor insurance files and obtain the required SSO clearance certificates.
Review the tax treatment of Alibaba Travels’ revenue, commissions, service fees, refunds, cancellations, and supplier settlements.
Maintain organized records of tax and SSO filings, audits, assessments, disputes, and financial exposures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in tax and social-security compliance.
Strong knowledge of applicable tax and SSO regulations and administrative procedures.
Familiarity with contractor insurance requirements and SSO clearance processes.
Full command of the Tax Payers System (سامانه مؤدیان / my.tax.gov.ir) for electronic invoicing and statutory filings.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Social Security Organization (SSO) worksheets (کاربرگ‌های تأمین اجتماعی).
In-depth knowledge of Article 38 of the Social Security Law on contractors’ insurance obligations.
Familiarity with financial statements (balance sheet, income statement).
Familiarity with tax dispute resolution procedures (Tax Dispute Resolution Boards).
Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to responsibilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet strict statutory deadlines.
Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills.
